Members of the
local security force from Kyeinchaung police station seized 7,000 stimulant
tablets from the two motorcyclists near Leikya Junction in Maungtaw Township,
Rakhine State on 23 April.
The security
force searched a motorcycle driven by Mohamed Aliyed and Hami Tusoung from
Shwezar Village and found 7,000 WY-branded stimulant pills worth K 14 million
hidden together with potatoes, dried fishes and detergent packs from them.
Accord to the initial investigation, they took 50,000 kyat as transportation
fee from Ahdu who resides in Shwezar (Kanbe) Village for the stimulant pills
and it will be sent to Dimarmouk living in Taungpyo (Letyar) Town.
Action will be
taken against the suspects in accord with the law.
