To
mark the Korea-Myanmar friendship, Korean artistes performed their traditional
Cookin’ Nanta dance at the Myanmar International Convention Centure-2 in Nay
Pyi Taw yesterday.
Nanta
also known as Cookin or Cookin’ Nanta) is a South Korean non-verbal comedy show
that incorporates traditional samul nori rhythm. It premiered in October 1997
in Hoam Art Hall in Seoul.
The performance was attended by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko and wife, Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board Dr Win Thein and wife, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Myanmar Mr Yoo Jae Kyung and departmental officials.
