THE Myanmar U17 and India U17 national teams, which are preparing for the 2027 AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers, will play two friendly matches in Yangon, with the first match scheduled for 3:30 pm today at Star City Stadium in Thanlyin.
The Myanmar U17 team will use the friendlies against India as part of its final preparations for the AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers, which are scheduled for November.
The Myanmar
U17 squad for the AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers comprises 29 preliminary players
selected from States and Regions and Myanmar football academies. Japanese head
coach Koisuke is in charge of the team.
The players
are also competing in the domestic M-League U20 competition under the name
Galaxy to gain competitive experience.
The two
friendly matches will be played on 4 and 7 October at the Sunset Venue of Star
City Stadium in Thanlyin, Yangon. Myanmar and India also played two friendly
matches in Yangon in early March, with India winning one and drawing one.
