Myanmar Navy vessels, namely UMS Mottama, UMS Than Lwin and UMS Sin Phyu Shin, arrived at Lumut Port, Malaysia, on the morning of 28 September to repatriate 1,476 verified Myanmar nationals who had been detained in the Malaysian Immigration detention camps and faced difficulties following completion of their sentences due to violations of the immigration regulations. Following the systematic handover of the verified Myanmar nationals by the Myanmar Embassy and the Office of the Military Attaché (Army Navy and Air) of Myanmar in Kuala Lumpur, the vessels carrying the returnees departed from Lumut Port, Malaysia, on the evening of 29 September 2026 for Yangon.
