A ceremony to honour and welcome frontline-returned Tatmadaw personnel who had performed security duties for State stability and regional peace and tranquillity was held yesterday morning at a local battalion in Myainggalay, Kayin State.
Officials from the South-East Command, officers, soldiers and their family members, departmental officials, members of the Myanmar Police Force, members of the War Veterans Organization, members of the People’s Militia (Local) troops, local ethnic people, teachers and students attended the ceremony.
The attendees warmly welcomed the frontline-returned Tatmadaw personnel who had performed their duties tirelessly on frontline battlefields, away from their families, to enable ethnic people across regions and states to live and work peacefully, safeguard their lives and property, maintain State stability and ensure regional peace and tranquillity.
The returning personnel were welcomed back with Eugenia sprigs and victory flower garlands, as well as musical performances and dances. A responsible official from the command delivered a congratulatory speech to the victorious frontline-returned Tatmadaw personnel and presented cash awards to them.
