The Ministry of Education will only permit the registration of private educational institutions that are verified to meet specific requirements for the next academic year, 2027-2028.
Combined teams
consisting of regional, district, and township-level education officers, along
with local supervisory teams and the ministry’s supervisory body, will conduct
inspections of schools.
For the 2026-2027
academic year, temporary permits were granted to 1,092 schools that adhered to
the Private Education Law and met the requirements set by the ministry’s
supervisory body.
Among these private
schools with temporary permits for the current year, the ministry has allowed a
one-year preparation period for schools that have yet to fulfil certain
criteria regarding features, structure, size, and capacity.
