A Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Ye Tun Win, currently in Minsk, Belarus, held discussions with Belarusian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Mr Ivan Smilgin on 15 September to promote cooperation and exchange technical knowledge in agriculture and livestock breeding.
The
two sides discussed enhancing technical cooperation, trade and economic ties in
the agriculture and livestock sectors.
The
delegation also visited the Belarusian State Association for Livestock Breeding
“Belplemzhivoboedinenie” and discussed dairy cattle breeding and animal feed
production with the General Director and officials, followed by a visit to its
cattle breeding laboratory. They also visited Minsk Tractor Plant to observe
tractor manufacturing and quality control processes.
On
16 September, the delegation visited the Scientific and Production Centre of
the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Agriculture to study crop and
fodder cultivation, seed production, agricultural systems, animal breeding,
embryo transfer and nutrition laboratories. They also visited
ZhodinoAgroPlemElita breeding enterprise to observe dairy cattle breeding,
animal feed production and milking operations.
On
17 September, the delegation visited the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation
to study animal feed, feed additives and amino acid production, as well as JSC
Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky to observe poultry farming and meat production.
