As the reception to commemorate the 205th National Day of the Republic of Nicaragua was held at the Central Hotel in Yangon at 4 pm yesterday, the ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Culture, Hotels and Tourism U Maung Myint and his wife.
Ambassador
of Nicaragua to Myanmar Mr Segundo Martin Calero Escorcia and officials warmly
welcomed the Union minister and his wife and the invitees.
The
ceremony was then opened with the national anthem of the Republic of the Union
of Myanmar and the national anthem of the Republic of Nicaragua, as well as the
ambassador of Nicaragua to Myanmar and the Union minister delivering their
greetings.
The
ambassador hosted a dinner for the guests present at the ceremony. The ceremony
was attended by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors
from foreign embassies based in Yangon, Chargé d’Affaires, diplomats
and invitees.
