PROMOTION tourism cooperation, mutual travel and exchanging information between Myanmar and Belarus, photos and videos about the two countries’ tourist destinations were discussed during a meeting between Union Minister for Hotels, Tourism and Culture U Maung Myint and a delegation led by Ms Olga Chemodanova, Chairperson of the Belaya Rus Party of the Republic of Belarus.
The Belarusian representatives addressed the need to disseminate information to make the Belarusian more aware of Myanmar’s natural beauties, coastal areas and other prominent tourist destinations, especially since the two countries have achieved visa-free travel as well as the Minsk-Yangon direct flight will make it easier for Belarusian tourists to visit Myanmar and tour operators will be able to organize tours more effectively.
Similarly, the Union minister emphasized to promote tourism, Myanmar also offers mountaineering tours, having many places with adventure tourism and unique travel experiences can be had, such as the Inlay Lake region. Myanmar Embassy in Belarus has to distribute videos and photos depicting Myanmar’s famous tourist attractions, culture, and natural beauty to the Belarusian while tour operators to promote their awareness.
Afterwards, the artistic staff from the Department of fine Arts performed the “Myitta Shwesaung Dhammaratha Zatdawgyi” in full costume at the office of Training Theatre. Afterwards, the officials honoured the artists who participated in the performance with giving the suggestions.
