ME to extend passports on 29 Aug for workers with expiring permits

THE Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has announced that consular services will be available on 29 August, Saturday, for official Myanmar migrant workers in Malaysia whose work permits are nearing expiration.

Priority will be given to passport extension applications submitted via WhatsApp and email, specifically for those workers whose permits are close to expiring.

This is to help ensure they do not lose their employment. Please note that only passport extension requests will be accepted on that day.

The embassy will publish a list of eligible individuals on its Facebook page.
