Opening ceremonies for People’s Military Service Training Batch 26 were held yesterday at training depots across various command areas, where eligible citizens selected for the programme had completed the necessary preparations.
The
ceremonies were attended by military commanders and other officials. They met
trainees, presented honorary cash awards, food and essential supplies, and
offered words of encouragement.
The People’s
Military Service Law, enacted on 10 February 2024, provides military training
to eligible citizens to support national defence and security. Graduates of
previous training batches are now serving in military units across the country.
