DEPUTY Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, together with members of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee in Chin State, inspected Basic Education High School in Tonzang on 27 June.
He met the
headteacher and teachers, and coordinated the requirements of the school with
relevant officials, and presented gifts to the teachers.
He also
observed students peacefully attending classes and the cleaning activities
conducted by town elders to improve the school environment, and provided cash.
There are 44
basic education schools in Tonzang Township, with a total of 3,446 students
currently attending classes.
During the
meeting with religious leaders, town elders, departmental officials and Tonzang
Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee members and he called for
cooperative efforts in implementing rehabilitation and reconstruction
activities in a timely manner. He also urged all the participants to work
together for the regional stability and development. He then presented coffee
packets.
He toured
Tonzang by vehicle.
