President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace
Commission Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Commission
Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, the Mandalay Region
Chief Minister and officials, yesterday afternoon inspected development
undertakings in PyinOoLwin region.
The
Senior General looked into the axis for the construction of the new road
leading to Zeepingyi Village and the Central Firefighting Training School, from
the Mandalay-Lashio Highway. Officials reported to the Senior General on the
plans to construct the new road.
The
Senior General gave guidance to establish a standardized road to ensure the
long-term endurance and systematically carry out the construction of a quality
road for residents.
At
the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection (PyinOoLwin District
Branch) of the Ministry of Industry, Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie
Than reported to the Senior General on the purpose of building the foodstuff
laboratories, types of libraries to test foodstuffs, labs of the Ministry of
Industry, and MSME industries and production in regions and states, processes
to develop SME businesses, laboratory services, training courses for operating
MSME businesses, laboratory service of the Research Branch (PyinOoLwin),
efforts to secure ISO 17025:2017 certificate and the requirements of the
microorganism laboratory.
In
his response, the Senior General said that as there are many MSME businesses in
the PyinOoLwin region, the foodstuff laboratory service will be beneficial for
these businesses.
The
Senior General and party observed the laboratory test process for the sample
products from MSME businesses and the laboratory test processes.
On
arrival at the construction project of the Thumingala Market (Nyantaw Market)
in PyinOoLwin, the Senior General heard reports on progress of the market
project, completion of the Curved LED Display which is the largest in Myanmar,
and finishing of the front wing of the market, installation of the chandeliers,
construction of the car parks, supply of electricity for six hours to the whole
project through solar system, except the air-conditioner system, water supply
and sewage facility, and supervision for completion of the project on schedule
in the construction standards.
After
hearing the reports, the Senior General, the high-standard Thumingala market
project (Nyantaw Market) in PyinOoLwin Township is being implemented to create
a modern market that aligns with the town’s growing population and increasing
tourism, allowing local products and basic goods to be available in one place.
As a market of a higher standard that matches urban development, sales
operations are also expected to be organized systematically and maintained at a
modern level.
The
Senior General viewed the work progress at the market project and gave
necessary guidance to officials.
