strong foundation for enhancing partnership between the two countries.
Both sides
underscored the importance of maintaining peace, stability, and economic
prosperity along the common border, noting that this is essential for the
prosperity and well-being of communities on both sides.
The Union
Minister apprised the Thai Foreign Minister of the determined efforts of
Myanmar on eradicating online scamming in the area bordering Thailand and
highlighted the importance of effective cooperation between Myanmar and its
neighbours.
In
discussing the negative consequences and instability caused by illegal border
trade via illegal gates, both sides exchanged views on importance of promoting
legal and regulated trade channels for the benefits of both countries.
The Foreign
Ministers further discussed ways to strengthen closer cooperation to address
common issues and promote mutual interests of Myanmar and Thailand. The Union
Minister reaffirmed that, for the prosperity of both sides, the door is always
open to Thailand for enhanced cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries.
