Myanmar detained 104 Indians, 24 Indonesians, and 27 Filipinos, totalling 155 individuals, involved in online gambling and fraud in Kayin State yesterday.
Between 30 January and 27 October 2025, a total of 10,119 illegal immigrants were identified and detained in Myanmar. Of this number, 9,339 individuals have already been deported through Thailand to their respective countries, while arrangements are being made to deport the remaining 780 individuals. These individuals are currently under detention while awaiting repatriation.
The government is strictly cracking down on online scams and online gambling by cooperating with other countries, including neighbouring countries.
