Returning scholarship students urged to share experiences with peers from home units

ACTING President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in Harbin of the People’s Republic of China during his working visit, met scholarship students who are learning at universities in Harbin, at ShangriLa Hotel in Harbin at 5:30 pm Chinese standard time yesterday.

Students learning at universities in Harbin introduced themselves to the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Speaking on the occasion, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar unveiled that Myanmar-China relations are the best at present.

He recounted that he attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 Plus and the parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The SCO is playing a key role in peace, stability and development of the world, and Myanmar is expected to become a member of the SCO.

At a time when they arrived back in Myanmar, he urged the students to share their experiences and knowledge they learned, learning experiences, improvement of the living standard of Chinese people and their societies with those from their departments. Moreover, trainees have to learn proficiency of Chinese languages as much Chinese as possible.

He continued that preparations are being made in Myanmar to hold a free and fair election in coming December with endeavours to enable all eligible voters to cast their votes at the election. He clarified that Myanmar Electronic Voting Machines will be used to prevent errors in the voter list and voting fraud.

The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar fulfilled the requirements of students, presented foodstuffs and financial support and cordially greeted them.

Also, present at the meeting were Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, commission members and Union ministers who accompanied the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Myanmar Ambassador to the People’s Reublic of China U Tin Maung Swe, and students.
