Myanmar, Heilongjiang Province forge Pauk-Phaw relations


ACTING President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the People’s Republic of China during his working visit, held talks with Mr Xu Qin, Secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Heilongjiang Provincial Committee at 6 pm Chinese standard time yesterday.

Also present at the talks were Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission members, Union Ministers, and the Myanmar Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. The Secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Heilongjiang Provincial Committee was accompanied by cabinet members of Heilongjiang Province, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia and officials.

They discussed the successful holding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 and the parade to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, diplomatic relations between Myanmar and China over 75 years, and forging Pauk-Phaw friendly relations.

They exchanged views on success in agriculture and livestock industries in Heilongjiang Province, the establishment of advanced universities and colleges, the learning of Myanmar scholarship students at these institutions, export of Myanmar’s crops to Heilongjiang Province, exchange of technologies in agriculture and livestock sectors, promotion of cooperation in education and culture sectors, and sectoral cooperation and trade activities between Heilongjiang Province and Myanmar.
