Union Energy Minister receives UAE Ambassador

 

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin received Mr Mutaz Abdullah Abduljaleel Mohamed Al Faheem, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry of Energy in Nay Pyi Taw.

They held candid and open discussions on possible UAE investments in Myanmar’s promising and offshore oil and gas blocks, the signing of the Myanmar-UAE Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement and the Myanmar-UAE Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (Bilateral IPPA), and the strengthening of investment and economic relations between the two countries. They also discussed enhancing cooperation not only in the energy sector but also in other economic areas.
