Relief and rehab operations ongoing in quake zones

 RESCUE and rehabilitation operations are being implemented in the areas facing extensive loss and damage caused by the Mandalay earthquake.

Lt-Gen Thet Pon from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and relevant officials inspected the clearing of debris at the collapsed building at religious sites in Sagaing.

They proceeded to Sagaing Education Degree College and oversaw the clearing of debris in the college compound and the construction of modular houses for quake survivors in the compound of Maha Seekongyi Pagoda.

Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and officials inspected the storage of answer papers of the 2025 matriculation examination at No 16 BEHS in Chanayethazan township of Mandalay and preparations to transport them to the relevant exam departments in time.

They oversaw the rubble removal at the collapsed buildings at religious sites in Aungmyaythazan and Chanmyathazi townships.
