Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Phay, accompanied by deputy ministers and officials, visited a matriculation exam centre at Basic Education High School Branch in Yan Aung Myin Village-tract, Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning to encourage students sitting the sixth and final day of the 2025 matriculation examination.
During the visit, the Union minister cordially met and spoke words of encouragement to students taking the Biology and Economics subjects. He also observed the exam process and confirmed that the supervising and assistant supervisors were carrying out their duties following the rules and guidelines, while students were answering calmly and peacefully.
Later, the Union minister visited
the Affiliated Basic Education High School 3 and the Basic Education High
School 5 in Zabuthiri Township and observed the exam conditions and students’
participation. Necessary assistance was provided as needed.
In Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, a total of 47 exam centres were designated for
the examination on that day, with 12,531 students registered to sit. Among
them, 12,406 students sat for the exam, resulting in a participation rate of 99
per cent.
A total of 195 examination centres in 29 districts and 58 townships across Nay
Pyi Taw Union Territory, Kachin State, Sagaing Region and Mandalay Region
conducted the Biology and Geography subjects on the sixth day of the
examination. According to official figures, 63,673 students registered and
62,788 students sat for the exam, making the attendance rate 98.61 per cent.
