MoBA holds first monsoon tree-planting event

 

The Ministry of Border Affairs organized its first monsoon tree-planting ceremony in the compound of the temporary staff housing yesterday.

State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae remarked at the event and planted the ironwood.

He then inspected the tree-planting processes of Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Phyo Thant, the permanent secretary, departmental officials and staff.

Similar tree-planting activities were held at the universities, colleges, offices and schools under the ministry, and the ministry planted a total of 8,621 trees yesterday. MNA/KTZH
