False reports blame security forces for attacks in 3 townships

 

Some subversive news media are spreading false news, claiming that security forces attacked ChaungU, Sagaing Region, and Ngazun and Mattaya Townships, Mandalay Region, on 17 and 18 February. They claim that security forces used heavy weapons and air attacks, killing two people and damaging religious buildings.

But security forces from these areas said this news is not true. Security forces did not attack these townships. Instead, insurgents fired heavy weapons and drones at villages. Because of this, innocent people died and houses and religious buildings were damaged.

Malicious news media is trying to hide the cruel actions of terrorists. They spread false news and fake photos to make people misunderstand security forces.
