59th Myanmar Gem Emporium continues its eighth day


 


The eighth day of the 59th Myanmar Gems Exhibition took place on 10 May at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, attracting a large crowd of local and foreign jewellers.

Starting in the morning, both local and foreign gem traders began to inspect the collections of jade stones from Group C exhibited outside the Maniyadana Jade Hall, based on their preferences.

During the exhibition, jade lots numbered from 2,751 to 3,750 were vended to jewellers through an open tender system.

Officials reviewed and inspected the proposed price lists of jade lots numbered from 2751 to 3750 on the eighth day, and the sold-out jade lots will be announced on the ninth day of the exhibition.

Moreover, gem and jewellery shops are operating inside the Maniyadana Jade Hall, which is bustling with buyers and gem merchants.

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi inspected the price submissions for the sets of jade that the jewellers want to buy are properly placed in the tender boxes, conditions of gems and jewellery booths and jewellery exhibition activities according to the business needs.
The 59th Myanmar Gems Emporium is scheduled from 3 to 12 May at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Throughout the exhibition, 182 lots of pearls were sold on the second day, followed by 197 lots on the third day, 88 lots of gems on the fourth day, 546 lots of jade on the fifth day, 569 lots of jade on the sixth day and 424 lots on the seventh day.

The remaining jade lots will continue to be marketed through an open tender system.
