THE Myanmar U-19 women’s football team will play friendly matches
against Viet Nam in preparation for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship
2019, which is scheduled to be held in Mandalay.
The chief coach of the team, Daw Thet Htar Win, said that the Myanmar
U-19 team will undergo training from 6 to 19 October at the Mandalar
Thiri Stadium in Mandalay. As part of the training, the team will play
four friendly matches — two against local teams and two against the Viet
Nam U-19 women’s team.
The two matches against Viet Nam are scheduled on 11 and 13 October. Team Myanmar will play against ISPE on 16 October and the Mandalay Football Academy’s U-14 team.
For the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2019, Myanmar has been placed in Group B with China PR, South Korea, and Japan. Group A includes host Thailand, North Korea, Australia, and Viet Nam. At the group stage, Myanmar will play against Japan on 28 October, China PR on 31 October, and South Korea on 3 November at the IPE Chonburi Stadium at Chonburi City in Thailand.
Two teams each from Groups A and B will advance to the semi-finals, which will take place on 6 November.
The final and third place matches will take place on 9 November.
