Deputy Commerce Minister visits JETRO headquarters in Tokyo

Deputy Minister for Commerce U Aung Htoo visited Executive Vice President of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Mr Ichiro Sone in Tokyo, Japan, on 16 October morning.

The meeting focused on opening of intellectual property office in Myanmar, assistance of JETRO in this regard and training programmes for trademark inspection staff and IT assistance.

The Deputy Minister also gave interview to the Japanese media.

In the afternoon, he also met with Deputy Director General Mr Murakami Hironobu from Japan International Cooperation Agency and discussed their technical assistance for opening IP office.

The Deputy Minister also made a speech at the opening ceremony of Myanmar Intellectual Property Seminar held at the headquarters of JETRO.
