EC Chairman receives Director of Programmes of Democracy Reporting International

Chairman of the Union Election Commission, U Hla Thein received Director of Programmes of Democracy Reporting International, Ms. Nicola Schmidt and delegation at the Union Election Commission Office at 10 a.m. yesterday.

During the meeting, they discussed providing assistance in technology for the civil society organizations to monitor the election and funding matters.
They also discussed providing courses for Myanmar Democracy Fellowship, mobile applications on Election Knowledge, technology that would help enable monitoring hate speech on social media platforms and future collaboration.
