TWO suspected drug addicts and two accomplices were arrested
together with 25 Yaba pills, over K2.4 million and a saving passbook with the
balance of K50 million in Maungtaw on 25 February.
The security forces inspected a suspected vehicle parked in the
Four-Mile Ward in Maungtaw at 7 pm on 25 February and found the two suspects
namely Myint Soe, also known as Khaing Kyaw Min, of Ward-6 Maungtaw, and Tun
Tun Kyaw, also known as Aung Kyaw Thein, Ward-6 Maungtaw, using drugs.
The police also found Zaw Siti and Kyan Thein Wai together with
25 Yaba pills and related items of drug using, K2.46 million and a saving
passbook with the balance of over 5 million.
During the interrogation, it was found that the drugs are from
Maung A Win Chay of Waithali Village in Maungtaw Township. In connection with
the case, the police searched the house of Maung A Win Chay but they did not
find drugs in the search.
File has been opened at the police station against the four
suspects including Maung A Win Chay, the absconder, Mying Soe (a) Khaing Kyaw
Min.
Tun Tun Kyaw (a) Aung Kyaw Thein is also an absconder in the
Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic case by the Maungtaw Myoma Police Station.
