Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received the Joint Peace Fund (JPF), led by
Italian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Pier Giorgio Aliberti, at Bayint Naung
Guesthouse in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning. At the meeting, they discussed the
formation and works of the JPF, six peace policies established and conducted by
the Tatmadaw, and the need for the JPF to study and understand the true events
to assist in the peace process in Myanmar.
Similarly,
Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation
led by Dr. H. Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security
Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, in the afternoon. During this meeting,
they discussed matters related to accepting returnees according to the
Myanmar-Bangladesh bilateral agreement, the problem of ethnic armed
organisations and the drug trade along Myanmar-India-Bangladesh border.
