A
memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held in Maungtaw
yesterday for the construction of Kanyinchaung Economic Zone in Maungtaw
Township, a State government guesthouse and other buildings near Thandwe
Airport in Ngapali.
State
Chief Minister U Nyi Pu delivered the opening speech inviting businesses to
continue to invest and cooperate in the regional development. He said the State
government was collaborating with both domestic and foreign investors and
stressed the clauses in the MoU would be given priority. Next, State Minister
for Finance, Revenue, Planning and Economy U Kyaw Aye Thein discussed the
details of the MoU, followed by explanations by Kanyinchaung Economic Zone
Construction Subcommittee Vice-Chairman U Aung Myint Thein and the general
manager of Su Htoo San Construction Co. Ltd.
Later,
the MoU was signed by the secretary of the State government and officials from
Kanyinchaung Economic Zone Construction and Su Htoo San Construction Co. Ltd,
while being observed by the chief minister.
