Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker receives World Bank Country Director, Norwegian Ambassador separately

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat received separately World Bank Country Director for Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos People’s Democratic Republic Ms. Ellen Goldstein and Norwegian Ambassador to Myanmar Ms. Tone Tinnes at the Pyithu Hluttaw Hall, Hluttaw Building, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting with Ms. Ellen Goldstein, they openly discussed matters related to continuing cooperation with the World Bank for Myanmar’s development and providing assistance for the Hluttaw’s development, as well as providing loan and technical assistance for roads, electricity, education and health services to promote rural development.

During the meeting with the Norwegian Ambassador, they openly discussed matters related to promoting bilateral friendships between the two governments, Hluttaws and peoples, assistance for achieving internal peace, investment and enacting laws. Present at the meeting were Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Tun Aung @ U Tun Tun Hein and officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw office.
