President
U Win Myint received a delegation led by Indian Minister of External Affairs
Ms. Sushma Swaraj at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During
the meeting, they cordially discussed bilateral relations between the two
countries, Rakhine State development and the peace process, cooperation in the
investment and trade sectors, as well as upgrading the socio-economic life of
people along the border.
The
meeting was also attended by Union Minister for the Office of the Union
Government U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Transport and Communications U
Thant Sin Maung, Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Win Khaing, Union
Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and other officials. Indian
Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Vikram Misri was also in attendance, together with
the delegation led by the Indian Minister of External Affairs.
