An
opening ceremony of a Civil Service Training jointly organized by the Ministry
of Information and Panna Institute, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, was held at the
Ministry of Information assembly hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
First,
Ministry of Information Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun explained that the
course was conducted to increase the quality of public servants, and is a very
important course for the country.
This
type of course was conducted a total of 31 times: five times in Yangon, 10 in
Nay Pyi Taw, 16 times in Mandalay, Taunggyi, Bagan, Monywa, Magway, Bago,
Hpa-An, Loikaw, Myitkyina, Dawei, Phakant and Sittway from 2013 to 2017, said
the Deputy Minister.
For
2018, this joint course will begin in Nay Pyi Taw. It will be conducted in Taungoo,
Meiktila, Kengtung and Shwebo. It is important to participate and actively
discuss matters in the course. Make the most use of the course and openly raise
matters with teachers, added the Deputy Minister.
Next,
course trainer Dr. Tin Maung Maung Than explained the reason for conducting the
course and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung representative Daw Khin Thuzar Htun gave
the vote of thanks.
Later,
U Aung Hla Tun, departmental officials and course participants took a
commemorative group photo. The course will be held for five days from 19 to 23
February and will include concepts related to public affairs, basic facts about
the world economy and the Myanmar economy, project works and public affairs
management, it is learnt.
