Union Minister inspects IPRD offices in Dawei and MRTV sub-transmitting station in Launglon

Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint inspected the offices of the Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) in Dawei Town and the Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) sub-transmitting station in Launglon Township.

Dr Pe Myint, together with Director-General of MRTV U Myint Htwe, Director-General of IPRD U Ye Naing and Managing Director of News and Periodicals Enterprise U Kyaw Soe, arrived in Dawei, Taninthayi Region, yesterday afternoon.

The union minister and his party inspected the IPRD offices with Taninthayi Region Minister for Social Affairs and Development U Ho Pin and Minister for Kayin Ethnic Affairs U Saw Lu Kar and presented toys to preschool children in the children’s reading room.

The union minister also urged the staff to transform the offices and libraries of the IPRD into community centers for the public.

Next, the minister and his party visited Shwewe Thiri Pyinya Beikman Library and Cultural Museum in Dawei, before inspecting the MRTV sub-transmitting station in Launglon Township.
