Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun receives Japan MIC delegation

Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun received a delegation, led by Mr Seiji Takagi, Director-General for International Affairs, Global Strategy Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, from Japan yesterday morning at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information.

At the meeting, they discussed media challenges during the transition period to democracy; the status of the signing of the capacity building project, to be conducted in cooperation between Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV), the Ministry of Information and Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications; a study tour of MRTV personnel to Japan; the status of drawing up amendments to the broadcasting media law; and the status of continued cooperation in television broadcasting. — Myanmar News Agency
