The 2nd day of the 16th China-Myanmar Border Trade Fair 2017 was held yesterday at Shweli (Ruili) in Yunnan Province, China.

The event aims to promote bilateral trade between the two neighbouring countries.
Myanmar has exhibits in 54 stalls from 39 companies and China showcases around 150 booths at this year’s China-Myanmar Border Trade Fair.
Myanmar is exhibiting its agricultural produce, marine products, gems, jade, traditional handicrafts, traditional medicine, furniture, and household goods manufactured by domestic industry zones. China mainly exhibits food, garments, household appliances, and medicine.
The trade fair is attracting an average of about 2,000 visitors a day, including Chinese businessmen and local people. They are very interested in seeing edible bird-nests, and other products of Myanmar.

We come to exhibit … in this trade fair, and there are many growers in our country who plant on a manageable scale. As for me, I want to introduce a new market, and I am also glad to join in this trade fair.

For us, this is the first time to exhibit avocados here in this trade fair. We aim at distributing avocados to the world via the China market. Consumers can eat our avocados safely because we don't use any chemical dyes. It can reduce unwanted fat in our body and can grow hair on our heads. We want our avocados to be well-known in the world market.

The China-MyanmarBorder Trade Fair has been held annually on an alternate basis in Myanmar and China for 16 years. This is the first time in Shweli. We are going to hold this trade fair for five days, from December 26-30. This trade is of great importance for businessmen in Myanmar and China. China is our main exporter and it can boost our bilateral trade relations. We can make friendly investments and create good investment opportunities.

We exhibit technological products here. The main thing is that we designed and invented these robots with the help of scientists from foreign countries. As a result, it is very expensive and we can rarely see them in Shweli and Beijing. I want to advertise our robots to the whole world.

It was very convenient for me to buy it in China. But it will be difficult to carry from the side of Myanmar due to damage and transportation costs. I have come here to buy the bird-nests and household goods such as rice, oil and coffee. In my opinion, it is worth visiting during the trade fair.
