Nine private
tasks forces of Union Enterprise for Humanitarian Assistance, Resettlement and
Development in Rakhine (UEHRD), together with Union of Myanmar Federation of
Chambers of Commerce and industries (UMFCCI) will meet with Rakhine State
government on 15 November and discuss resettlement and development in Rakhine
State. UEHRD’s chief coordinator Dr Aung Tun Thet, UMFCCI’s officials and
representatives from nine tasks forces of UEHRD held meeting at UMFCCI and
discussed to systematically and effectively fulfill the needs of Rakhine State.
Nine tasks
forces of UEHRD, Construction and infrastructure; Agriculture and livestock
breeding, Economic Zones Development, Information and Public Relations, Job
creation and Vocational Training, Healthcare, Micro-financing, Fund raising
through crowd-funding and Tourism promotion and UMFCCI’s officials are now
preparing and planning for constructing infrastructure buildings, installing
water and electricity access and and upgrading roads.
On the visit,
they will present their planning to Rakhine State government and local
residents and the region’s needs and expanding works will be discussed. “One
best result will be obtained when the needs of local residents meet with the
assisting works of private businesspersons”, said UEHRD’s chief coordinator
Professor Dr Aung Tun Thet.

UMFCCI’s general-secretary also said that as the development strategy for
Rakhine State was already set, UEHRD’s tasks forces will discuss with Rakhine
State government to carry out the strategy properly. All 17 townships in
Rakhine State, in the state will see the development works, he added. The tasks
forces are also planning to conduct the Vocational Trainings for the local
residents for the development in their education and skills.
