Notification for prevention of Influenza Type A /H5N1

1. It is informed by World Veterinary Association that Influenza Type A/H5N1 can break out at any season. Therefore it is needed to raise bio-safety measures at the poultry farms. It is notified that to prevent the Influenza A/H5N1 outbreak, the following guidelines shall be strictly followed.

(a) To conduct the bio-safety of poultry farms in great care

(b) To execute spraying antiseptic at the poultry farms and the markets where the chickens, ducks and quail are sold alive

(c) When entering the poultry farms, to wear surgical masks and hand gloves

(d) To wash the hands or take personal hygene without fail every time after handling the chickens, ducks and quails and every time leaving the poultry farms

(e) To eat the eggs only after boiling well

(f) To inform immediately to Myanmar livestock Breeding Association, livestock Breeding and Husbandry Department and administrative office in the proximity if there occur sudden death of birds or chickens or ducks.

(g) To cooperate in prevention and in diagnosing works with associations or departments concerned.
