Maungdaw in Rakhine State to get highway bus terminal

July 23, 2017
Maungdaw will get a highway bus terminal as the town’s incoming and outgoing traffic volume is growing, according to an official.

We have already submitted the name of the contractor we have selected through tender to Rakhine State government. The construction work will start under the directive of the regional government, said deputy director U Maung Tin Oo of the town municipal.

The land management committee has already allotted a 16-acre plot for the purpose, he added. The town municipal invited participation of the company as the cost of the project is much higher than its budget ceiling of Ks 50 million for a project. The terminal will be completed with all the requirements such as shops, hostels, food stalls, parking lots and toilets.
