REPRESENTATIVES
from 48 nations attended the 14th Asia Media Summit at the Shangri-La Hotel in
Qingdao, the People’s Republic of China yesterday morning.
The theme for 14th Asia Media Summit was “Media on the Frontline of Global Development”.
Union Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint joined approximately 400 attendees at the conference, which is held to elevate the global and regional profile of Asian media. Speakers included Chinese Vice Premier Madam Liu Yandong, who gave a keynote address. Other speakers included officials from United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development and media organisations from Asia.
