State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi receives Special Advisor to Japanese PM

State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received the Special Advisor to Japanese Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Hiroto Izumi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the nine sectors currently being implemented cooperatively by Myanmar and Japan as well as future projects. The nine sectors of cooperation between Myanmar and Japan are: development of rural agriculture and infrastructure; promotion of the quality of education and creation of job opportunities; urban industrial development; development of transportation connectivity between rural and urban areas; energy co-operation to effectuate industrial development; development of urban structures; development of public finance and private finance structures; improvement of post and telecommunications services and promotion of the health care sector.
