STATE Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi arrived in
Singapore yesterday for an official visit at the invitation of Singapore Prime
Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The Myanmar delegation led by the State Counsellor left Yangon for the host
country yesterday morning. State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was
accompanied by Union Minister for Commerce Dr Than Myint, Minister of State for
Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Tin and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and the Ministry of Planning and Finance. The delegation arrived at Singapore’s
Changi International Airport at 12.40 p.m. They were welcomed by Singapore’s
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Vivian Balakrishnan, Myanmar Ambassador to
Singapore U Htay Aung and officials from Myanmar embassy and the Military
Attaché Office.
