Vice President U Myint Swe called
for effective implementation of Myanmar’s strategic geographical condition for
trade promotion, at the meeting with development partners in Nay Pyi Taw on
Wednesday.
Myanmar trade dependency is 30 %, and sustainable development goals have been laid down in order to create better place by the year 2030. The goals include job opportunities and sustainable economic development. The country’s export and trade sectors play important role in fulfilling these goals. Cooperation has been made with the World Bank and Diagnostic Trade Integration Study has been made. Based on this study, medium term plan has been laid down for economic development, and penetrating the world market. Over 200 representatives from the Government, business community and development partners joined the event.
