Food provided to villages in Maungtaw

After the violent attacks in Maungtaw Township, Rakhine State, security forces are working for regional security as well as ensuring peace and stability. The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and the Rakhine State Government are also providing food to locals.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu and the State Cabinet together with officials went to Pan Taw Pyin, Ywa Thit Kay, Tet Oo Chaung, Gaw Du Thara and U Daung villages in the Southern part of Maung Taw Township to meet with the locals. They provided food such as rice, edible oil, salt, beans and dried fish.

While meeting with locals, the Union Minister asked about accommodation and health. They replied that there was no difficulty for their heath, shelter, and clothes but only difficulty in transportation because of security.

Gaw Du Thara village administrator U Tin Aung said “Schools have been opened in ethnic villages but doors of the schools in other villages are still shut.”

The Union Minister and party also visited Maungtaw Township People’s Hospital to comfort the patients who are receiving medical treatment.

They also proceeded to ethnic villages in the northern part of Maungtaw such as Aung Zeya, Aung Thaya and Aung Mingalar villages and met with locals. They also provided food and toys for children.

A local from Aung Mingala village said, “Guard duty is assigned at night for village security. Schools are being opened now but teachers from other regions have not come back yet. The strength of faculty members is few for education.”

The Union Minister and party met with staff of No.1 Border Guard Police Control Command and their families and presented snacks and toys for the kids.

“We visited the places where the attacks happened in Maungtaw Township, Sunday morning as well as four ethnic villages and 4 other villages. We provided food such as rice, edible oil, beans and other items to locals who live with poor transportation access. We found that all children in eight villages are in good health. It is not true that all children are malnourished” said Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye to the media.

ယင္းသို႔ ေဒသခံမ်ားႏွင့္ေတြ႕ဆံုစဥ္ ျပည္ေထာင္စု၀န္ႀကီးက ေနေရးထိုင္ေရး၊ က်န္းမာေရးစသည့္ အခက္အခဲမ်ားကို ေမးျမန္းရာ လံုၿခံေရးအေျခအေနေၾကာင့္ သြားေရးလာေရးအတြက္သာ အခက္အခဲရွိၿပီး က်န္းမာေရးႏွင့္ စား၀တ္ေနေရးအတြက္ အခက္အခဲမရွိၾကေၾကာင္း ေဒသခံမ်ားက ျပန္လည္ ေျပာၾကားၾကသည္။
ေဂၚဒူသာရ ေက်းရြာ အုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ေရးမွဴး ဦးတင္ေအာင္က " တိုင္းရင္းသား ေက်းရြာေတြမွာေတာ့ စာသင္ေက်ာင္းေတြ ျပန္ဖြင့္ေနပါၿပီ။ အျခားရြာေတြမွာေတာ့ ျပန္ဖြင့္တာ မေတြ႕ရေသးပါဘူး" ဟု ေျပာၾကားသည္။

ျပည္ေထာင္စု၀န္ႀကီးႏွင့္အဖြဲ႕သည္ မြန္းလြဲပိုင္းတြင္ ေမာင္ေတာၿမိဳ႕ျပည္သူ႕ ေဆးရံုသို႔ သၸြားေရာက္၍ ေဆးကုသမႈခံယူေနသည့္ လူနာမ်ားကို အားေပးႏႈတ္ဆက္ ၾကသည္။
ယင္းေနာက္ ေမာင္ေတာၿမိဳ႕နယ္ ေျမာက္ဘက္ပိုင္းရွိ တိုင္းရင္းသားေက်းရြာ မ်ားျဖစ္သည့္ ေအာင္ေဇယ်၊ ေအာင္သာယာႏွင့္ ေအာင္မဂၤလာေက်းရြာမ်ားသို႔ သြားေရာက္ၿပီး ေဒသခံျပည္သူမ်ားႏွင့္ ရင္းရင္းႏွီးႏွီးေတြ႕ဆံုႏႈတ္ဆက္ကာ စားနပ္ ရိကၡာမ်ား ေထာက္ပံ့ေပးအပ္မႈႏွင့္အတူ ကေလးငယ္မ်ားအတြက္လည္း ကစားစရာ အရုပ္မ်ား ေပးအပ္ၾကသည္။

ေအာင္မဂၤလာေက်းရြာမွ ရြာသားတစ္ဦးက "ရြာလံုၿခံဳေရးအတြက္ ညဘက္မွာ ကင္းေစာင့္တာ၀န္ခ်ထားေတြ လုပ္ေဆာင္ေနရပါတယ္။ စာသင္ေက်ာင္းေတြ လည္း ျပန္ဖြင့္ေနပါၿပီ။ ဒါေပမယ့္ နယ္ေ၀းကဆရာ ဆရာမေတြကေတာ့ ျပန္မေရာက္ၾကေသး ပါဘူး။ ပညာေရးအတြက္ ဆရာအင္အား နည္းပါတယ္" ဟု ေျပာၾကားသည္။

ဆက္လက္၍ ျပည္ေထာင္စု၀န္ႀကီးႏွင့္ အဖြဲ႕သည္ အမွတ္(၁)နယ္ျခားေစာင့္ ရဲကြပ္ကဲမႈဌာနခ်ဳပ္မွ ၀န္ထမ္းမိသားစုမ်ားႏွင့္ ေတြ႕ဆံုအားေပးစကားေျပာၾကားၿပီး ကေလးငယ္မ်ားအတြက္ မုန္႔ႏွင့္အရုပ္မ်ား ေပးအပ္ခဲ့သည္။

''ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ဒီကေန႔မနက္ ေမာင္ေတာၿမိဳ႕နယ္မွာ အၾကမ္းဖက္ တိုက္ခိုက္မႈ ျဖစ္ပြား ခဲ့တဲ့ေနရာေတြကို သြားခဲ့ပါတယ္။ တိုင္းရင္းသားေက်းရြာ ေလးရြာနဲ႔ အျခားရြာ ေလးရြာကို သြားခဲ့ပါတယ္။ နယ္ေျမလံုၿခံဳေရး အေျခအေနေၾကာင့္ သြားလာ ေရးခက္ခဲ ေန တဲ့ ေဒသခံေတြဆီကို အဓိကလုိအပ္ေနတဲ့ ဆန္၊ ဆီ၊ ပဲ စတဲ့ စားနပ္ရိကၡာေတြ သြားေရာက္ေထာက္ပံ့ခဲ့တာပါ။ ေရာက္ခဲ့တဲ့ ရြာရွစ္ရြာစလံုးမွာ ငါးႏွစ္ေအာက္ ကေလး ငယ္ေတြအားလံုးက က်န္းမာေရးေကာင္းမြန္ေနၾကတာကို ေတြ႕ရပါတယ္။ ေကာလာ ဟလေျပာေနၾကသလို ကေလးငယ္ေတြ အာဟာရခ်ဳိ႕တဲ့ေနတယ္ဆိုတာ လံုး၀ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး" ဟု ျပည္ေထာင္စု၀န္ႀကီး ေဒါက္တာ ၀င္းျမတ္ေအးက သတင္းမီဒီယာမ်ား အား ေျပာၾကားသည္။
