People from Yanbyae Township yesterday
donated cash and rice bags for security forces, including members of the
military, border guard police and volunteers in Maung Taw Township.
Donors said
they hope this assistance will help all people affected by the recent violence.
Plans are underway to donate more in the future, they said.
International organizations and
humanitarian agencies are also expected to reach affected areas of the restive
township to deliver food aid, after authorities gave official permission to
revive the distribution chain, weeks after it was disrupted due the assaults in
early October.
