A friendship delegation comprising officers and personnel from the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air), which arrived in Myanmar on 29 September to strengthen mutual trust and friendship between the two countries’ armed forces and promote cultural exchanges, left for India yesterday afternoon.
During their visit, the delegation
paid homage to major religious sites in Nay Pyi Taw, including the Maravijaya
Buddha Image and Uppatasanti Pagoda, and visited prominent sites such as the
Memorial to the Fallen Heroes (Nay Pyi Taw) and the National Museum. Tatmadaw
also hosted a dinner for the delegation on 30 September.
The delegation was seen off at Nay
Pyi Taw Airport by Tatmadaw officials and Indian Defence Attaché
to Myanmar Colonel Arjun N Singh.
