China-Myanmar Culture & Tourism Promotion event held in Kunming

 

A “China-Myanmar Culture and Tourism Promotion” event was held on 14 October at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Colourful Yunnan Hotel in Kunming, Yunnan Province.

The event was organized by Xiangxin Tourism Group under the leadership of the Yunnan Province Development Association for Economic and Trade Cooperation with South-East and South Asia. Attendees were a delegation led by U Maung Maung Kyaw, permanent secretary of Myanmar’s Ministry of Culture, Hotels and Tourism, along with officials from Yunnan provincial institutions and representatives of Chinese and Myanmar tourism associations and businesses.

U Maung Maung Kyaw and officials from Yunnan tourism organizations delivered remarks and explained the conditions under which travellers can visit Myanmar.

U Zeyar Myo Myint, Myanmar’s consul general based in Kunming, also spoke at a session on promoting travel and invited Chinese tourists to visit Myanmar.
