President U Min Aung Hlaing, Spouse Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party return from Viet Nam

The high-level Myanmar del­egation led by President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing and spouse Daw Kyu Kyu Hla left Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi yesterday afternoon after an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam at the invitation of Vi­etnamese President Mr To Lam and spouse.

The President, spouse and Myanmar delegation were seen off at the airport by senior officials led by Mr Lê Khánh Hi, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and Minister at the Office of the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and officials, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar, Myanmar Am­bassador to Viet Nam U Wai Lin and his wife, Myanmar Military Attachés (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Zaw Min and officials.

The Guard of Honour of Viet Nam took positions on both sides of the red car­pet, saluted, and bid them farewell.

Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, U Min Naung, Dr Charlie Than and U Tun Ohn, senior Tatmadaw of­ficers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Chief Minister of Yangon Region U Aung Naing Thu, deputy ministers and officials who accompanied the President arrived back on the same flight.

During the visit, the President of Myanmar met the President of Viet Nam and held bilateral talks, holding meetings and discussions with the Prime Minister of Viet Nam and the Chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam. During these meetings, they exchanged views cordially and open­ly on matters concerning the promotion of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Viet Nam, and enhancing cooperation between the two govern­ments, Hluttaws and peo­ples. They also discussed promoting trade and in­vestment and enhancing cooperation across vari­ous fields and sectors. In addition, the President of Myanmar visited digital technology and industries in Viet Nam and attended the Myanmar-Viet Nam Business Forum, where the promotion of investment and trade between the two countries was discussed.

The high-level Myan­mar delegation led by Pres­ident U Min Aung Hlaing and Spouse Daw Kyu Kyu Hla arrived back at Nay Pyi Taw Airport in the evening. They were warmly wel­comed back by Vice-Pres­ident U Nyo Saw and Vice-President Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speak­er U Khin Yi and his wife, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe and his wife, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Gener­al Ye Win Oo and his wife, Union ministers and their wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and officials from the Vietnam­ese Embassy in Myanmar. — MNA/TTA
