MSWRR Dy Minister inspects cleaning and beautification work in Falam

 

SINCE the Tatmadaw regained full control of Falam Township, residents and departmental staff have been returning to the township since 6 May. Local departments and security forces have also been jointly carrying out cleaning and beautification activities in the township every week.

Yesterday morning, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thant Zaw Lwin, accompanied by Chin State Minister for Natural Resources U Win Zaw Oo, members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee and members of the Falam Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected the cleaning activities and systematic disposal of garbage. The deputy minister instructed departmental staff and members of the public to cooperate in cleaning and beautifying Falam Township and its surrounding areas. He also provided snacks to police officers and departmental staff who were jointly carrying out the cleaning activities.

Similarly, yesterday morning, U Zaw Naing Oo, Chairman of the Tiddim Township Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Working Committee, and members encouraged the cleaning and beautification activities being carried out by a total of 200 departmental staff, residents and ward development committee members along the main road in Sakaw Street Ward and on Kamhao Street under the BEHS No 1 campus.

Likewise, Secretary U Thein Aung and members of the Tonzang Township Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee inspected the cleaning activities carried out by 251 departmental staff and Tatmadaw personnel at the Youth Training School and the Hilly Region Missionary Central Monastery in Khawung/ Laysan Ward yesterday morning.

In Chin State, cleaning activities in Tiddim, Tonzang and Falam townships are carried out every Saturday under the supervision of the respective Township Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committees to maintain cleanliness and beautify the townships.
