Tiddim Delivers Education, Healthcare to Thousands

 

TIDDIM Township has opened 115 basic education schools for the 2026- 2027 academic year, and 687 teachers are serving 13,062 students’ education.

Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Kyaw Swa Oo visited schools and the Government Technical Institute (Tiddim) to observe learning activities and encouraged students to pursue mechanical, agriculture and livestock breeding subjects from Grade 10 onwards. He also provided refreshments to students.

He later visited Tiddim 100-bed People’s Hospital, where he gave words of encouragement to patients and provided nutritious food and financial assistance to expectant and postnatal mothers. The hospital, staffed by 166 health workers, has treated 12,665 patients since January 2026.
