Returning frontline troops honoured in Sittway, Tongtah

 

FRONTLINE Tatmadaw members returning from security and regional stability operations were warmly welcomed back at local battalions in Rakhine State’s Sittway Township and eastern Shan State’s Tongtah yesterday.

The ceremonies were attended by Western Command Commander BrigGen Kyaw Zaw and Triangle Region Command Commander Maj-Gen Soe Myat Htut, respectively, alongside departmental officials, military officers and families, police and veteran organization members, artistes, traditional dance troupes, teachers, students, and local communities.

Attendees greeted the returning troops – who served selflessly away from their families to safeguard national stability and the lives and property of citizens with auspicious Eugenia sprigs, flower garlands, and lively musical and dance performances. During the events, the commanders delivered honorary speeches expressing gratitude for their service, with cash rewards also presented to the victorious soldiers in Sittway and Tongtah.
